Only eighth in the Team rankings in Formula 2 in 2020 despite one victory and five podiums, Dams Racing will try to get back to the top this season. The boss of the Sarthe team, François Sicard, is approaching the 2021 campaign with desire.
“We have been very happy with our two drivers Marcus Armstrong and Roy Nissany so far,” he declared to the official F2 website. “Roy has been very focused and has done a great job so far. He completed the distance of a long race on the last day of pre-season testing in Bahrain and we were very pleased with how he performed then.

Also for Marcus it has been positive to have him in the garage with us and he has worked hard so far. I think we have a good line-up this year. »
Protected by academies Williams et Ferrari, the Israeli and the Australian could well play the leading roles from the start of the season in Sakhir (Bahrain, March 26-28). “Both of our drivers were very focused and worked well with our engineers and the rest of our staff. We won't know the hierarchy before qualifying, but we think we did a good job.
I trust my team and I feel pretty confident. We know the competition will be tight again, but we have worked very hard to put everything together. With the new meeting format (two sprint races on Saturday, a long race on Sunday morning. Editor’s note), we have to be smart in the way we work, but I have been encouraged by what I have seen so far. »
