Fighting with Alice Powell until the last meeting of the season (both drivers had 109 points), Jamie Chadwick won the last two races in Austin this weekend to take the leading position and leave with the title W Series champion. The 24-year-old Briton has won four races this season (in Austria, Hungary and both Austin races) and finished on the podium three times. His worst result this year was an 8th place at the first meeting, on June 26 in Austria. The driver of the Véloce Racing team finishes with 159 points on the clock (compared to 110 during her first coronation in 2019), while Alice Powell has 132 points. In the two events in Austin, the Briton from Racing X arrived in 3rd and 6th position, which cost her the world title. Overall in his young career in the W Series, Jamie Chadwick displays impressive statistics, with 12 podiums obtained in 14 races and two world championship titles in two seasons.

“This title means so much to me and I am so happy. The stakes were so much higher than the first title in 2019. I am very grateful to everyone at W Series, Veloce Racing and Formula 1 for making this possible this year. Alice Powell pushed me all the way and with so few races in the championship it's really difficult to make a difference. It's been really hard all year, I'd like to say a big congratulations to Alice. I don’t know what’s next for me yet, but I’m going to make sure I enjoy this moment first.”
