Leader of the championship arriving in Portimao, Francesco Bagnaia had a difficult weekend to say the least. Author of a first error in Sprint while he was in the lead, the Italian managed to save the 6 points for fourth place. However, this will not be the case in the main race, when he catches Marc Marquez shortly before the finish.

The reigning double world champion leaves the Algarve in 4th place in the table, behind Enea Bastianini, Brad Binder and Jorge Martín. Author of a flawless performance on Sunday, the No. 89 carried out an excellent operation and is now 18 lengths ahead of his closest pursuer, while he is 23 ahead of his main rival.

The first podium in MotoGP by Pedro Acosta allows him to collect a good number of points. The 19-year-old rookie ranks fifth overall, and second among independent drivers. Collateral damage from Bagnaia's error, Marquez fell to 6th position. The eight-time world champion (27 pts) is now 33 points behind Martín (60 pts).

Author of a solid seventh place in the main race, fabio quartararo still defends 11th place in the table, while the point won by Johann Zarco places him tied with Augusto Fernandez in 17th position.

After the Portuguese Grand Prix, only Luca Marini, Franco Morbidelli and Raul Fernandez have not yet unlocked their counter. The Pramac rider is the only Ducati to post such a score.
