The Portuguese Grand Prix MotoGP saw a first major clash occur within the Ducati fold, Francesco Bagnaia having caught Marc Marquez during the main race, causing their fall, and destroying their chances of scoring points.

Several drivers, including Jorge Martin, were invited to speak about the incident. The Spaniard, for his part, talks about the great operation he made in the championship thanks to the misfortunes of his opponents.

“When I saw that, I said to myself, I have to win, comments number 89. It was a great opportunity to get the victory. For his part, Aleix Espargaro defends his compatriot, and calls into question the little space left by Bagnaia.

“I saw the replay, and obviously it’s a racing incident, it’s quite difficult to overtake in that corner and it’s a corner where there are a lot of accidents. To be honest, I think Pecco could have given Marc a little more room to avoid contact. »

The teammate of the reigning world champion, Enea Bastianini, is naturally more impartial, and does not point to any culprits.

"I don't really know what to think about it, these are things that happen when you fight with someone, explains the Italian. Right now, it's really difficult to overtake, and this kind of contact can happen. I can't really pin the blame on one or the other. MotoGP today is tough. »
