Yamaha back in full force to face “an intense period”

Quartararo ready to face the rest of the season after a complicated round - Yamaha

After a week's break, the MotoGP returns to the circuit route. It's time for the eleven teams on the grid to face the Red Bull Ring, a fast circuit punctuated by heavy braking which rather succeeded in fabio quartararo in the past, since he won three podiums there.

The race at Spielberg will also mark the start of a busy period for Yamaha. The last ten events of the season will be contested in the space of fourteen weeks, and the Japanese manufacturer intends to work hard to catch up with the European factories.

They will therefore have to count on two drivers in top form, so as not to slow down the team in its progress. To do this, the Blues will be able to compete with Alex Rins finally recovered from the injury he suffered at Assen.

“I was very disappointed not to be able to drive at Silverstone, recalls the Spaniard. But I used that frustration to motivate myself. I had to manage to come back stronger for Spielberg. I trained with and without a motorcycle. I stayed in touch with medical experts throughout the process. I have good feelings, so I'm delighted to be back on board my M1! »

Quartararo ready to take turns

On the other side of the garage, Fabio Quartararo talks about continuity. If the round at Silverstone was far from perfect, efforts were spared and it is on this dynamic that he wishes to approach the next ten meetings.

“We have a busy period ahead. It's good for us, confides the Habs. The feeling during the Silverstone weekend was, for the most part, not great. So there is work to be done. The more laps we can do, the better. We're going to do what we always do: try new things, collect data and give Spielberg 100% in the Sprint and Race. »

It remains to be seen what the Niçois and his team will be able to achieve at the Red Bull Ring, on KTM grounds, while Quartararo is currently neck and neck with Jack Miller in the Drivers' championship. Table in which he still defends fourth place with a total of 49 points.
