Jorge Martín lost the title MotoGP very early during the Main Race of the Valencia Grand Prix. The Spaniard who had to put 15 points in Francesco Bagnaia's sight to win the crown lost 25 by falling, the Italian becoming double world champion with honors.

However, the Pramac driver quickly gets over the disappointment: no one expected him to be at this level in 2023. The one who caused a lot of problems for Bagnaia until the very end of the season now knows that he has the ability to fight for the world crown, and seems confident in meeting his competitors on the grid for 2024.

“I cried all I had to cry in the box, then I moved on, comments No. 89 after the event. I can be proud of what I accomplished: fighting until the last race, achieving thirteen victories and numerous podiums.

It's an incredible year for Pecco, he has shown such consistency and he fully deserves his trophy, He continues. I think I have the potential to fight for the championship again next year. This is just the beginning of my career in MotoGP. »

To achieve this, he must above all show reflection when the situation in the championship requires it. In any case, this is what Martin believes by looking back on some regrettable moments of the campaign which has just ended.

« I think in Indonesia and Australia I made too many mistakes, he admits, referring to a fall as well as an approximate strategic choice. I was overconfident and I will have to learn in the future. »
