Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin took all the honours in 2024. Together, the two title contenders won fourteen of the twenty Sprint races, and as many races on Sunday. In the main race, they also grabbed 16 podiums each, depriving their opponents of 32 of the 60 places available on the box over the entire season.
There are still many statistics that testify to the exceptional season, achieved by each of the two men who fought for the title until the last race of the season. The one that counts the number of laps led by each driver in 2024 is one of them.
The latter proves once again that it was Jorge Martin's consistency that allowed him to win his first world crown in MotoGPThe Spaniard having beaten an eleven-time victorious Pecco Bagnaia on Sunday, but who made too many mistakes between these exploits.
The Italian has led a total of 349 laps in 2024, 83 more than the Spaniard, who has led 266 times during his campaign. It was obviously on Sunday that the Italian made the difference once again, with 259 laps spent in front. 89 more than Martin. In the Sprint, the advantage of the Pramac driver remains small, since he has led only six laps more than Bagnaia, with a score of 96.
The closest pursuer of the two men is Marc Marquez, with a total of 60 starts/finishes as leader.
