Another bronze for Pecco Bagnaia. After a third place on Saturday behind the two Marquez brothers, the Italian driver once again inherited this position at the finish of the main race behind Alex Marquez and fabio quartararoClearly lacking options, the 2022 and 2023 champion lacks adjectives to describe the situation he finds himself in.
“I want to thank the crowd, such support is really incredible. Apart from that, I don't like races like this. I was stuck at the back, like in the Sprint yesterday. Every time I came back, I lost the front and had to ease off a bit to cool the tire, he explained at the finish of the race. Congratulations to Alex for his first victory and especially to Fabio because with a bike that is slower at the moment, he really did a great job."
A good sport, and clearly admiring of Fabio Quartararo's performance throughout the weekend, the Italian said exactly the same thing here after the sprint race. A lack of pace, overheating too quickly observed on the front tire, and an inability to break away from the riders in front of him, the observation is exactly similar.
Bagnaia's failures continue
As the 2025 season progresses, Pecco Bagnaia's frustrations continue to mount. Before starting this new race at Jerez, the Ducati rider pointed to his difficulties in qualifying and his inability to secure a front row position since the first session of the season. Coming out of the sprint, his pace problem in Saturday's race seemed to be the main obstacle to his progress, while this Sunday, the explanation revolves around tire temperature management.
Declaring that he could no longer do the same things this year as last year with his machine, Francesco Bagnaia is clearly struggling to break the glass ceiling he's facing. Consistent at the very least thanks to a high-performance bike, the Italian is no doubt hoping to draw inspiration from Alex Marquez, who managed to finally unlock his victory tally this weekend. See you at Le Mans in two weeks for him and the rest of the grid.

It would be desirable for Yamaha to run the V4 as soon as possible if they want better results. Good luck, Marc.

What a great state of mind from Bagnaia who recognizes the quality of the youngest of the Maquez brothers and the breathtaking performance of Quartararo... Finishing second with a machine that is not up to par shows the talent of the Frenchman who beat him in 2021, already with an inferior machine. Since then, Bagnaia may have won two titles, but he was beaten again by J. Martin, who certainly benefited from the same machine but who was part of the satellite team... It looks bad. So what could be more normal than him being crushed by Marc Marquez and, once again, overtaken by Alex Marquez who does not even benefit from this year's Ducati!!! The problem is probably between the handlebars and the seat of the bike, quite simply...
