Jerez was not synonymous with renewal for Pecco Bagnaia. Unfortunately for the double world champion, the problems he is experiencing with his Ducati are persistent, and no circuit currently seems to allow him to find the technical solution. Behind Marquez and Quarterly During the last race, the overheating observed in his tires as he approached the motorcycle in front constituted a problem making any overtaking impossible.

“For some reason, I still struggle with certain aspects of driving., he agreed again at a press conference this Thursday. I wanted to arrive at Jerez to understand the situation, because it's a circuit we know perfectly. There, I was losing time in three corners where I've always been very fast. So I was a little slower, and that's something I want to understand. My team is trying to give me the maximum to help me understand and improve. I think we've taken a small step forward, and I hope that this weekend we'll be there."

Bagnaia expects a three-way duel for the title

Turned towards Le MansFrancesco Bagnaia, like many of the riders interviewed, said he enjoys this unique track. To fully understand it, the Italian hopes to make the new features on his bike work.

"We added something that Marc was already using. This circuit is special: it's not a track where you can keep the same settings as on other circuits, he explained. But we'll see. I think it's a good circuit for braking and corner speed. So if I can do what I did last year, but with the improvements I feel, I think we can get a very good result."

Despite trailing Alex Marquez by 20 points in the world championship lead, Pecco Bagnaia has not lost sight of the final objective. Regarding the current leader and his chances of winning at the end of the season, his answer is clear: "I don't know. Right now, it's hard to say. I think he has a 33% chance..."

Furthermore, a three-way battle between the only riders to have already won at least one race is expected. Ducati, which has shared the five victories so far, is also counting on a renewed energy from Bagnaia, the man to beat since 2022, surrounded by great anticipation surrounding his own revival.
