Clearly, the GP22 seems in good shape for this German GP on the Sachsenring circuit. We knew that going under the 1'20 mark on the German track was a possibility on Saturday morning during the third free practice session... it is now a done deal.

Francesco Bagnaia, record holder since Friday, did it again by setting a time of 1’19.765. The Italian had already crossed this bar during his previous flying lap, but he managed to drive the point home a little further.
First to launch the hunt for the times just over 10 minutes from the checkered flag, Aleix Espargaro first dethroned his rival Ducati from first place with a lap in 1’20.013. If Bagnaia did not take long to respond, the Aprilia representative also managed to go under 1'20 with a time of 1'19.829.
Ranked third, Jack Miller trails Espargaro at 44 thousandths ahead of two other Ducati GP22s, those of Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, last in the hierarchy to have ridden in 1'19.
fabio quartararo occupies sixth position after experiencing a problem with his helmet screen in his final run. The Frenchman had to cut his effort then make a detour through his box to change his helmet, but it was already too late.

Joan Mir inherits seventh place ahead of Luca Marini, Takaaki Nakagami, who made a mistake at the end of the session at the first corner, and Maverick Viñales, who completes the list of drivers who will advance directly to Q2.
Pointed 11e, Miguel Oliveira will have to pass the repechages just like Marco Bezzecchi, victim of a fall at turn n°12, Fabio Di Giannantonio or even Enea Bastianini, only 18e cumulatively from the three test sessions.
Ranking (FP1-3)
