Pecco Bagnaia will be wary of Fabio Quartararo in 2025

Bagnaia sees Quartararo and Yamaha on the rise in 2025 - Michelin

With the departure of Jorge Martin to Aprilia, and especially the promotion of Marc Marquez to the Ducati factory team, it is legitimate to wonder who will fight for the title of world champion of MotoGP in 2025.

The most obvious answer would be to say that a duel is brewing between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez. In the reds, both men will be equipped with the Desmosedici GP25, an evolution of the GP24, ultra dominant last year. Fabio Di Giannantonio, under contract with Ducati since the beginning of the summer, will also ride this bike under the colors of VR46.

The crews of the other factories will however be reinforced, and before the first winter tests, it is difficult to establish a clear hierarchy. If Ducati will certainly dominate again the next campaign, it is not yet possible to predict the lead it will have over the other brands.

Bagnaia wary of Quartararo

Pecco Bagnaia understood this well. Invited to discuss the subject in an Italian podcast hosted by the driver Andrea Migno, he detailed a complete list of his potential opponents for next year.

"At Aprilia they have big goals. I think Jorge [Martin] and Bezz [Marco Bezzecchi] will do a good job, confides the Italian. They will be riding at the front. At the same time, they will have to face the task of adapting to everything that is new. The same goes for Maverick [Viñales] and Enea [Bastianini] with KTM.

Very cautious in his statements, Bagnaia even sees a potential adversary in fabio quartararoThe Frenchman, who deprived him of the title in 2021, is slowly progressing with Yamaha to get back on his feet after two chaotic seasons.

If the Blues are still far from the level of Borgo Panigale, the Transalpine remains wary of the Tricolore. "I don't ignore Fabio Quartararo either, because Yamaha has already made a lot of progress."
