However, at the start of the second lap, the Spaniard was passed by Marc Marquez under braking. He could still hold on. He only needed to score seven points to be assured of the title.
  • The gap stabilizes between the first three, and behind, Aleix Espargaró gets rid of Enea Bastianini to come to the aid of his great friend Martin.

  • The gap between Marquez and Bagnaia is just a few tenths, while Jorge Martín is behind the leading duo, assured of having a margin over the other riders as long as Aleix Espargaro contains Enea Bastianini behind him.
  • As the halfway point approaches, Bagnaia strays a little too far from the line, and Marquez takes advantage of this to get a little closer, without however trying anything. On the twelfth of the 24 laps to go, the top four are still the same. However, it is now Alex Marquez who is putting pressure on Espargaro, Bastianini having fallen back in the hierarchy.

Jorge Martin towards his first title

  • The standings are no longer changing, and Jorge Martín is counting the laps he has left to complete before he can let off steam and savour his success.
