Bastianini sets new record at Le Mans

After Pol Espargaro this morning, the higher temperatures in the afternoon allowed almost all drivers MotoGP to improve their time. In the time trial, Enea Bastianini ultimately got the last word with a lap in 1'31.148, thus beating the record previously held by Johann Zarco by 37 thousandths.

The Frenchman, for his part, set the fourth time of the day, just under four tenths of the benchmark. Leading just before the checkered flag, Aleix Espargaro finally inherited second place ahead of Alex Rins, first Suzuki representative.

Francesco Bagnaia is fifth in front fabio quartararo and Brad Binder's KTM. Joan Mir is eighth while Pol Espargaro and Jorge Martin complete the provisional list of drivers who will go directly to Q2.

Jack Miller, who made a mistake this afternoon, is the loser of the day with 11e time ahead of Franco Morbidelli, who also fell after the checkered flag.

Difficult day for Marc Marquez, who made two good catches in FP1 and FP2. The eight-time world champion must, however, settle for 15e time just over a second behind Bastianini.

See you tomorrow morning at 9:55 a.m. for the third free practice session counting for Q2.
