The dreaded rain finally did not rear its head towards Spielberg for qualifying for the Austrian GP. All in all, it was Enea Bastianini who set the best time in Q2 ahead of three other Ducatis, those of Francesco Bagnaia, winner of the last two races, Jack Miller and Jorge Martin, author of the two pole positions here last year. .

Faced with the horde of Ducatis, fabio quartararo still managed to set the fifth fastest time ahead of his compatriot Johann Zarco. Maverick Viñales places the first Aprilia in the hierarchy in seventh place. The Spaniard will be accompanied by Joan Mir and his teammate Aleix Espargararo, who had to go through Q1, on the third row of the starting grid.

Fabio Di Giannantonio, Alex Rins and Brad Binder, first KTM representative, will form the fourth row. Among the losers of the day, we can cite Marco Bezzeecchi, who made a mistake in Q1, who will have to settle for 20e position on the grid, or even Miguel Oliveira, winner for the first time in his career in MotoGP au Red Bull Ring in 2020, 17e of the rank.

See you tomorrow Sunday at 14 p.m. to follow the Austrian GP MotoGP race which promises to be thrilling.
