After dominating the Grand Prix from start to finish in Aragon, Marc Marquez extended his lead to 22 points over his younger brother, Alex. The latter finished second in both the Sprint and the Race in Spain, conceding 8 points to his elder brother.
Behind, the gap continues to widen between Bagnaia and Marquez, the two teammates in the Ducati Official Team. The Spaniard has a 93-point lead over his garage neighbor before arriving in Italy, on the latter's home turf. A gap which, even if the Italian rider revives, makes the fight for the title MotoGP 2025 is a very complicated year for Pecco Bagnaia.
The No. 63 will also soon have to pay attention to the return of the VR46 drivers. After the eighth round of the season, he has only about twenty points more than Franco Morbidelli.
The French riders' double-zero finish sees them fall down the order of the leaderboard. Johann Zarco loses his fifth place to Fabio Di Giannantonio. He nevertheless remains the best non-Ducati rider in the standings. Meanwhile, fabio quartararo fall to 10th place in the general classification.
