Davide Brivio: “The objective has not been achieved”

Comparing Trackhouse Racing's first two race weekends in MotoGP, it is not necessary to note that the points won by Miguel Oliveira's ninth place are enough to delight the troops of the American team.

Davide Brivio, however, sees the situation differently, and points out the work that remains to be done before the Nashville team's home race.

“In the end, we scored a few points, which is positive, explains the Trackhouse Racing team principal. Of course, we expected and wanted more than that. I can take the positive from this weekend: in the race, Miguel found better sensations. Additionally, Raul was very confident all weekend with his bike. Let's bring this home.

Unfortunately, we were not able to completely achieve our objectives, and we will have to start again. It's a long championship and if we continue to work like this we can find a way to make both our riders comfortable on the bike. This is our goal, and it is not being achieved. We know, we have to work. »

For his part, the regional rider of the stage is much more optimistic and claims to have learned a lot from motorcycling: good foundations for the rest of the season.

“The first lap and the first turns went pretty well, recalls n°88. I managed to overtake Alex Rins and fabio quartararo, and I was on my way to a top 10. Unfortunately, when Marco Bezzecchi overtook me in the first corner, he caught me a little wide and I had to stop the bike, I lost three positions.

It's a real shame because with all these falls, we could have finished in 6th position, He continues. Which would have been very encouraging. We have to look at the positive, in the race it was the best bike I rode during the weekend. I will be able to fight and be competitive in the future, it bodes well in terms of results. It's definitely a good starting point for building something. Hopefully in Texas we can continue our progress. »
