After five weeks of break, the summer break is soon coming to an end. So what do pilots do? MotoGP to get back into the swing of things?

Thanks to World Ducati Week, Johann Zarco and all his counterparts from the Ducati clan, such as Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller and Enea Bastianini, his teammate Jorge Martin and the VR46 team duo, Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi, were able to return to the track in almost similar conditions, minus the pressure. The Ducati riders were thus able to play the game of testing, qualifying and the race which was held on Saturday afternoon, which was won by Bagnaia.

Having just returned, Zarco continued training on the track during a track day organized by one of his sponsors, Bihr, on the Bugatti at Le Mans. He notably found his compatriot Lorenzo Fellon there, who rides in Moto3.

Alex Rins also returned to the track riding an Ovahle (mini motorcycle) on the Osona circuit near Barcelona. He also goes mountain biking on the side of Andorra like many of his adversaries who have taken up residence there.

Among the sharpest is obviously Aleix Espargaro who has not interrupted his physical preparation. Passionate about cycling, the Catalan rides every day at such a level that he was on the verge of joining a professional team a few years ago. He is often accompanied by Jorge Martin or Rins.

fabio quartararo very rarely trains on a motorcycle. The world champion and current overall leader prefers to preserve the sensations of his MotoGP. After a few days of vacation with friends, he resumed his physical preparation program such as jumping rope, which he mastered like no other.

From asphalt to dirt, there is only one step...

If some people chain loops on circuits of karting, others also try motocross. Considered risky by many, this discipline is nonetheless one of the most complete in terms of physics and driving. In addition to riding on the small MotorLand Aragón track on a 600 CBR, Alex Marquez does motocross sessions between two other mountain bikers.

Remy Gardner, reigning Moto2 world champion and MotoGP rookie, also practices motocross, even if he has very bad memories of it. In 2018, after a jump, the Australian broke both legs and had to miss three events of the season.

Andrea Dovizioso regularly competes in motocross at regional level. During a racing weekend, he broke his left collarbone a few weeks before the opening of the 2020 season. Despite everything, he continued his mx training alongside his friends, including Michael Ruben Rinaldi. , official Ducati rider in WorldSBK. “Dovi” also does a bit of jet skiing…

Even Marc Marquez, still convalescing, did not ignore his preparation. He recently got the green light from doctors to resume cardio.

All MotoGP riders are now top athletes and must be ready to tame the 280 horsepower of a MotoGP at the limit for more than 40 minutes. A slack is not allowed… This is what rookies often face when they arrive in MotoGP.
