After Takaaki Nakagami earlier in the day, it was Aleix Espargaro's turn to set the best time in the combined standings of two free practice sessions in 1'38.244. He was a little more than two tenths ahead of his teammate Maverick Viñales.
Lagging behind since this morning, Jack Miller saved the furniture by setting the third time in front fabio quartararo and Brad Binder. Alex Rins, Joan Mir, Jorge Martin, Johann Zarco and Luca Marini completed the Top 10 residents who will advance directly to Q2.
Among those who will have to go through the repechage in a few minutes are Miguel Oliveira, winner in Mandalika, Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, overall leader.
