Earlier this week, Ducati unveiled the new colours of its GP25 at Madonna di Campiglio. This presentation was one of the most anticipated of the year, given the new shock line-up of the brand's official team. In 2025, Ducati will indeed be running one of the most successful duos in history. Marc Marquez, six-time world champion in the premier class, joins Pecco Bagnaia and his two world crowns.
On paper, the GP25, an evolution of the GP24 – which outrageously dominated the previous campaign – can already be considered the most powerful machine on the grid. While the team has no reason to doubt the talent of its two drivers already presented as the favourites for the title.
However, Ducati has revised its goals upwards for the coming season, and the 2025 season will be full of challenges for the brand that has already won everything. As announced by Gigi Dall'Igna, Borgo Panigale's leading engineer, the team wants to secure all three world championship titles. Namely, the Riders', Constructors' and Teams' titles.
An ambitious goal
To achieve this, Ducati knows that it will have to rely on the good understanding of its duo of riders, a double-edged sword when you consider the difficult relationships they have had in the past. For the time being, Ducati remains confident.
"As usual, Madonna di Campiglio welcomes us in its evocative setting. After a record year in terms of performance and results, our goal remains the same, says the general manager of Ducati Corse. We want to continue to improve. Even if every year, looking at the numbers and statistics, it is more and more difficult."
"We are very proud of the entire working group, continues the Italian. We are ready to take on a new challenge in MotoGP. Our riders are probably among the strongest guys on the entire MotoGP grid. Pecco [Bagnaia] remains a reference point for Ducati. And I'm sure Marc [Márquez] will be able to settle into the team. And show all his talent."

Ducati is not resting on its laurels
This season, there is no serious competitor for Ducati at the moment. While Fabio Di Giannantonio will also have an official machine at VR46, he does not represent as much of a threat to Marquez and Bagnaia as Martin was against the Italian last year.
Outside of the Ducati fold, Aprilia and KTM should be able to express themselves in a few isolated races, without being comparable over a whole season. The reinforced crews of each team, however, suggest great things over time. This is also why Ducati does not want to spare its efforts in MotoGP.
“Expectations are high, that’s normal. We have an excellent technical package and a pair of riders who need no introduction. They have 11 world championship titles in different categories. We know that the other brands are making great efforts. I expect even higher competition. This is also where Ducati can be competitive. » concludes Gigi Dall'Igna.
