Ducati had already marked the 2023 season with its outrageous domination of the world championship. MotoGP, but the Borgo Panigale brand has doubled its bet in 2024.
Once again sweeping the three titles (Drivers, Constructors and Teams), the Italian manufacturer left almost no room for its rivals, once again clinching numerous records of domination. The opportunity to look back on this exceptional campaign in figures.
19 wins
Of the twenty rounds that made up the 2024 MotoGP season, only the GP of the Americas slipped through Ducati's fingers. In Austin, Maverick Vinales and Aprilia thwarted the plans of the Bologna factory, which had won the first two rounds of the season.
After this defeat, Ducati was not beaten in the main race again that year, and won seventeen consecutive races, thanks in particular to the ten victories that Pecco Bagnaia took after that date.
53 podiums
There were twenty races to be contested this season, and therefore a total of 60 places to be taken on the podium. Among these, Ducati won no less than 53. An absolute record, which extends the one that the brand had already offered itself at the end of the 2023 season. The transalpine manufacturer has the best machine on the grid, but also eight riders, compared to four for most of the other brands. A fact that therefore made its task much easier.
However, only six of them have managed to get on the box at least once this season. Franco Morbidelli (Pramac Racing) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46), are the only two representatives of Borgo Panigale to have missed the top-3 on Sunday in 2024.
Ducati's tally of 53 podiums has of course been greatly fuelled by the two title contenders, Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia, who have taken 32 together. Marc Marquez is the third rider to have taken the most with a total of 10 top-3s.

Ducati again
It can also be deduced from this statistic that Borgo Panigale has blocked the three available places on the podium on numerous occasions. This was in fact the case in fourteen races this season.
In addition to Maverick Vinales at the GP of the Americas, Pedro Acosta has made things difficult for Ducati on numerous occasions. The rookie of this 2024 season has been on the podium five times. His future teammate, Brad Binder, also took second place at the Qatar Grand Prix, the opening round of this campaign.
If we look at the doubles achieved by Ducati in 2024, there are 17. Here again, Maverick Vinales prevented the Bologna manufacturer from taking victory in Austin, while Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta each took second place. The first in Qatar, and the second in Indonesia.
Five in a row
In 2024, Ducati also became the first factory in the MotoGP era to win the constructors' championship five times in a row. In the history of the world championship, only MV Agusta, Suzuki and Honda have achieved this in the premier class.
