Despite narrowly missing out on Q1, Fabio Di Giannantonio caused a major upset on the Brazilian circuit, snatching the second pole position of his career. MotoGP since his first success on the Mugello circuit in 2022 during his first season.
The qualifying session was also marked by repeated crashes on a clearly treacherous track where even Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Márquez were caught out. More of a scare than anything serious, however, as both riders started on the front row alongside the day's pole-sitter. fabio quartararo also caused a sensation, bringing his M1 up to fourth position.
