After three hours of racing at the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race, the leading trio has already pulled away from the rest of the field on the Bugatti circuit. It is no longer Honda, with the #5 FCC TSR Honda France bike, that is leading the pack, but the #37 BMW, which is steadily moving up the ranks with each pit stop.

Michael Van Der Mark's pace on the Belgian team's BMW #37 was incredibly high, and the #5 bike couldn't withstand the onslaught from the rider competing in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race. He took the lead after two hours of racing, during his first stint. For the Japanese team, John McPhee, a newcomer to the team, had a satisfactory first outing, finishing behind Corentin Perolari and Alan Techer.

Behind the official BMW #37, Yart-Yamaha is currently in second place, ahead of Suzuki's SERT. The riders of the reigning champion machine needed to recover after a poor start. Behind this trio, the Honda #5 has dropped to fourth place but remains in contention.

All drivers in each crew have now at least completed their first stint, while those who started the race are heading back out to attack the Bugatti circuit.

While no team has yet abandoned the race, crashes are becoming increasingly frequent in the peloton across all categories. Conditions remain favorable, but the arrival of nightfall could shake things up, with cooler temperatures and increasingly difficult traffic to manage due to reduced visibility and 60 machines competing.
