Aprilia seems to want to spoil the Ducati party this weekend at the Italian GP by multiplying the announcements, but also on the track. For the moment, it is an RS-GP which occupies first place in the combined ranking of the first two free practice sessions.
Aleix Espargaro set a lap in 1'45.891, seven tenths off the circuit record. The Spaniard is 49 thousandths ahead of Francesco Bagnaia, determined to make a clean sweep of his disappointment at Le Mans. Jack Miller took the third time just under half a second from the benchmark.

Having fallen at turns n°5 and 12, Johann Zarco nevertheless saved a good fourth position in front of two other Ducatis, those of Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini. Brad Binder places the first KTM in the hierarchy in seventh place just ahead fabio quartararo, which is just over six tenths behind Espargaro. Ranked 10th, Pol Espargaro allows Honda to have at least one of its representatives in the Top 10.
Jorge Martin is 11th ahead of Marc Marquez and Takaaki Nakagami. Having made a mistake, Alex Rins is the best Suzuki rider in 14th position; Joan Mir being 19th.
