Fabio Quartararo 'learned a lot' from painful 2024 season

Fabio Quartararo takes stock of his 2024 season - Yamaha

The latest season to date of fabio quartararo at Yamaha is certainly not the one that will be remembered the most. Three years after his world title, in 2021, the Frenchman did not record a single podium with the Blues, and finished the year in a miraculous 13th place, as the form displayed by his M1 did not allow him to fight for much.

The number 20 is nevertheless determined to get back on track with his factory. He also signed a multi-year contract with the Iwata brand at the beginning of the year. An agreement that should see him wear the Yamaha colors until at least the end of 2026.

As he takes stock of his campaign, he opens up on his social networks and believes he has learned many lessons from this painful season.

“2024… It’s not the easiest year of my career, Fabio Quartararo confides on his Instagram account. But a year where I was able to learn a lot. To make me evolve into a better version of myself. And to be more prepared for the future. See you in 2025.”

A message of hope for the 2025 MotoGP season

Also included in this publication is a photo that sums up Quartararo's state of mind during the last years he spent in MotoGP. “2022 changed me, 2023 broke me, 2024 opened my eyes, in 2025 I will return.”

Stages that refer to Yamaha's gradual descent into hell. From its title lost to Pecco Bagnaia, to the growing disappointment the following year, and up to its questioning.

Realistically, if Yamaha starts the 2025 season at least where it ended its previous campaign, there will be reason to celebrate. For the future, the Japanese factory has some nice surprises in store, such as the V4 engine that it must test during the year, before a possible approval.
