After a difficult weekend in Argentina, fabio quartararo and Yamaha are preparing to contest the third round of the world championship MotoGP 2025 at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin. Currently 15th in the general classification, Fabio Quartararo approaches this new weekend with optimism despite a start to the season below his personal expectations.

Hit by Marco Bezzecchi at the start of the race in Termas de Rio Hondo, the Frenchman saw all his efforts reduced to nothing, and his chances of a top-10 were slim after completing the first lap in 19th position.

He's still looking forward to returning to Austin. The Texas circuit has, in fact, provided the 2021 world champion with some great moments in the past. The Nice native has previously claimed several podium finishes at COTA, including a second-place finish in Moto3 in 2015 on his first visit, a second-place finish in MotoGP in 2021, and a third-place finish in 2023, also in the premier class.

To ensure he was fully prepared for this event, Fabio Quartararo did not take advantage of the two-week break to recharge his batteries at home, and instead opted for a solution that favored the race.

“We were unlucky in the race in Argentina. The weekend didn't go as we wanted. So it's good that we have another round on the horizon, he confided on the sidelines of the event. We know we have work to do. This weekend will be dedicated to that. I hope we can take a step forward.

I spent some time in America after the Argentine GP. I had to make sure I wouldn't suffer from jet lag. So I would be fully ready for this GP, continues Fabio Quartararo. I love the COTA circuit. I also love Austin in general. So I'm looking forward to it."

Last year the gaps were very close at the GP of the Americas, and Fabio Quartararo finished in fifteenth place, just ahead of his teammate, Alex Rins, the reigning winner of the event at the time.
