The 2024 season of MotoGP has just ended with the Official Test in Barcelona, and fabio quartararo takes the opportunity to have surgery. Although the Frenchman had not spoken about it during the last weekend of the year, he announced on his social networks that he had undergone successful surgery.
"Arm operation performed, confides the 2021 world champion on his Instagram account. A few days of rest and I'll be ready to train again."

The Yamaha rider did not communicate the reasons for this operation on his left arm, but compartment syndrome appears to be the most likely reason for it.
This pathology appears when an increase in pressure occurs within a muscular compartment, and regularly affects MotoGP riders, who undergo extreme constraints on the forearms. This causes the muscles to swell.
A situation that is therefore quite common among drivers, who are used to having surgery at the end of the season. The operation, which consists of cutting the compartment in which the muscle is located, allows the blood to be released. It may have to be carried out several times during a career.
In any case, the latter will therefore have no impact on Fabio Quartararo's preparation for the 2025 season. The Frenchman will therefore be ready for the next official testing, which will take place in Sepang in February. Before that, however, he will take the time to recover from the long tour of the discipline.
