After Andrea Dovizioso, who broke his wrist a few days ago and had to be on the operating table, it's the turn of fabio quartararo to get hurt. The vice-world champion MotoGP in fact fractured his left hand on Sunday following a fall while motocross. On his Twitter account, Quartararo clarified that no intervention was required. He will just have to rest.
Yesterday I had a crash during my motocross training and I suffered a little fracture on my left hand.

He's not the first to have bad luck in motocross and he probably won't be the last. His teammate Franco Morbidelli, for example, broke his leg in 2015 when he was still in Moto2. The ligaments in his knee having been damaged, he had to give up a good part of the 2021 season after waking up from this injury while changing bikes during the French GP.
In 2017, Valentino Rossi fractured his tibia-fibula and had to miss his home GP in San Marino. A few weeks before the 2020 season opened, Dovizioso broke his collarbone. We can also cite Remy Gardner who fractured both legs following a fall in motocross 2018, or his compatriot Jack Miller, his right leg ahead of the 2016 season. There is also Marc Marquez who broke his fibula before the opening of the 2014 dirt bike campaign (but that didn't stop him from winning the first 10 races of the year).
