After the rain comes the sunshine in Jerez, although Marc Márquez didn't have a sunny Sunday. Starting from pole position in the Spanish Grand Prix... MotoGPThe local rider hoped to regain the Sunday victory that has eluded him since the 2025 San Marino Grand Prix. However, after a few laps in the lead, he lost control to his younger teammate, just before crashing.

But as one Márquez can hide another, the other member of the family took over. Freed from the pressure of his older brother at his back, Álex Márquez reeled off lap after lap in the lead, gradually widening the gap with Marco Bezzecchi. While it was expected that the GP26 would lose pace towards the end of the race, a consequence of tire degradation in the Jerez heat (40°C track temperature), this was not the case.

The championship leader's RS-GP couldn't exploit its strengths on a circuit lacking in fast corners, and Bezzecchi had to settle for second place at the finish. One year after securing his first MotoGP victory on the same circuit, Álex Márquez doubled his tally. Fabio Di Giannantonio completes the podium, having overtaken Jorge Martín (4th) quite early in the race.

Starting second, Johann Zarco surprisingly kept pace with Jorge Martín for almost the entire race. He was overtaken by the Trackhouse (Aprilia) riders in the final laps and finished in 7th place on his Honda. The other Frenchman on the grid, fabio quartararo, finishes the race in 14th position as the best Yamaha.

Once again this year, Pecco Bagnaia had a good Saturday followed by a very bad Sunday. Second in the sprint, he was in 9th place in the main race before a mechanical problem forced him to abandon.

M. Marquez is an exceptional UK champion, not only in his technique and results but also in his approach. He knows how to play the wounded bird, accessible but never quite caught. His motivation is so strong that anything is possible for him. Thank you for allowing us to witness such success, and congratulations!
