Gresini unveils its 2023 Ducati MotoGP

Team Gresini will enter two Ducati Desmosedici with 2023 specifications in 2022. A choice of reasons which will allow the Ducati satellite team to concentrate its forces on a successful machine which dominated the 2022 championship. The two motorcycles will sport new colors, starting by the emblematic Ducati red, much more present than in 2022, a sign of a strengthened collaboration between the team and the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. Light blue of course remains the dominant color in a slightly more pearly shade than the previous season.

The arrival of Alex Márquez is of course the highlight of this presentation. Thrown into the deep end with the official Repsol Honda team, the youngest of the Márquez siblings suffered from this early exposure. He has since shown a great burst of speed which only requires a layer of maturity to take him to the forefront.

Alex Marquez: “Today is a really special day: seeing this team so united and ready is something wonderful. It's very special for me to be here at this presentation. Seeing so much fervor and passion within the team and the people who came to see us is something that I particularly appreciate. Now begins the work for a pre-season which, I hope, will allow us to be 100% ready for the first race in Portimão. The goal is to have an excellent start to the season because it will set the pace for the rest of 2023. We have the tools and the desire to do well. It won't be easy, obviously, but a good approach goes a long way in these kinds of scenarios. »

Alongside him, Fabio Di Giannantonio showed great qualities during the recent Valencia Test. A good pole position at home at Mugello saved the Roman driver's season in 2022. Gresini's protégé will need to be much more consistent to build the foundations of a long-term presence in the premier category.

Fabio Di Giannantonio: “We’re starting 2023 with a little more red, which represents determination, passion, fire… I’m looking forward to continuing to improve and perform.” We want to approach this new season race by race while being aware that it is the right time: we should be regularly in the top 10, while the top 5 is a realistic objective. The team is pumped up and I have trained 300% for this year. We are ready ! »
