It's good fabio quartararo who will start from pole position in the Spanish Grand Prix MotoGP in Jerez de la Frontera! The French rider will lead the starting grid with his Yamaha, ahead of the man who has dominated the season so far in 2025, Marc Márquez (Ducati). The Spaniard's teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, will also be on the front row, which promises an extremely interesting three-way battle starting at 15 p.m. for the Sprint this Saturday, then for the Grand Prix at 14 p.m. this Sunday.
For the first time this season, Álex Márquez has been pushed off the front row of the grid, starting fourth on his Ducati Gresini. Franco Morbidelli and Maverick Viñales complete the second row, with the KTM rider still showing some good pace after his superb Qatar Grand Prix. Second at the finish, he was penalized 16 seconds for not respecting the minimum front tire pressure.
Fermín Aldeguer, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Joan Mir will make up the third row. While the Spaniard is the best of the Honda riders, the rider who usually occupies this position, Johann Zarco, is not far behind. The Cannes rider will start tenth, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Pedro Acosta, with the factory Aprilia and KTM respectively. Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Ai Ogura will be on the fifth row.
Luca Marini will start sixteenth, ahead of Raúl Fernández and a struggling Enea Bastianini once again. For his return to MotoGP and his first wild card of the season, Aleix Espargaró brought his Honda up to nineteenth place. The rider, who has also become an ambassador for the Lidl-Trek cycling team, is taking the opportunity to test new features ahead of Monday's tests. Augusto Fernández and Somkiat Chantra join him on the seventh row. Lorenzo Savadori and Álex Rins bring up the rear, meaning one factory Yamaha will start first and the other last.
