Honda announces the arrival of Luca Marini

All that was missing was the formalization of an agreement to confirm what everyone already knew. After his departure from Team VR46 – announced last Sunday late morning – Luca Marini joins the ranks of Honda where he will line up alongside Joan Mir,

Having joined the premier category of motorcycle championships in 2021, the No. 10 has already won two podiums in the main race, and the same number of pole positions. In 2023, he also added four top 3 finishes in Sprint to his tally.

The time has come for the brother of Valentino Rossi to launch a new challenge which will see him leave the comfort of riding the benchmark motorcycle to try to turn around the Japanese manufacturer by joining the factory team.

At 26, he will also have the difficult task of replacing outgoing hero and successful champion with Honda, Marc Marquez.
