Johann Zarco can't do it. Starting from pole position for the second time this season, the French driver had a golden opportunity to finally secure his first victory in Moto GP. After a successful start, the Cannes native led the race, but lost control of his Ducati 16 laps from the goal. Victory in the British Grand Prix ultimately went to Francesco Bagnaia.

“There was no big change in the trajectory, or braking, explained Johann Zarco at the microphone of Canal Plus. Maybe this Medium front tire didn't have enough grip, but given the heat, choosing the Soft was worrying and we thought we were going to get screwed over the length of the race. I got off to a good start, it was nice to lead the race. Falling like that puts you on edge (Sic). It's hard to put everything together to win. Attacking after this long summer break and being fast, I think I have reached a new milestone on the Ducati. You just have to move on and turn the page. »
