Johann, what have you been doing since the last Grand Prix in the Netherlands (June 27, 2021)?
It went well, I did a lot of things. I have already been able to do a baptism with the French skydiving team. I didn't expect such adrenaline, I really liked it and even made me want to do it again. I was also able to take a wind tunnel flight in their facilities in Aix-en-Provence. It was a great experience with real enthusiasts. I then went to Italy for a few days with my friend Veronica to celebrate my birthday with Paolo Campinoti (the boss of Pramac. Editor's note), who was born on the same day as me, July 16. We were near the Cinque Terre (on the Italian Riviera in the north of Italy. Editor's note). Boat, beach… It was nice. It was a bit like my vacation. In fact, I didn't really cut during this break. I continued to train: cycling, running… And also a little motorbike riding. I drove to Alès with my Panigale. A little scare in passing because I fell and dislocated a finger. But by the next race in Austria (August 8, Editor's note), it should just be a bad memory.
Did you imagine at the start of the season that you would be able to finish the first half of the championship in second place in the general classification?
