Pramac has for several years become the major satellite team of the Ducati squadron. As such, in 2023 it will enter two machines benefiting from the very latest developments, identical to those of the factory Team. The purple that appeared in 2022 following the arrival as a major partner of the high-tech company Prima is once again very present on the motorcycle livery. Unlike Yamaha, which presented machines on January 17 almost stripped of aerodynamic appendages, the Italians proudly display fins at the front of the fairing and fins on the saddle backrest.
For the second consecutive season, Johann Zarco will team up with Jorge Martin. respectively 8th and 9th in the final ranking of the 2022 Championship, the two men know and like each other. No victory unfortunately came to enrich their harvest of 8 podiums in 2022, the duo regularly seeing themselves blocked from access to the highest step by the big names in the championship.
John Zarco: “I am entering my third consecutive year with Team Prima Pramac and I am very happy to wear these colors for another season. We have a great team, a great bike… and Jorge and I get along really well. I would say we have all the ingredients for a great season, and maybe – who knows? − victory will come to us.”
Double Moto2 World Champion 2015 and 2016, Johann Zarco will be keen this season to return to the forefront of the MotoGP peloton and finally achieve this first victory that he has touched since his arrival in the premier category. At 32, at the top of his art, the Cannes native has rediscovered the passion of his younger years at Ducati after a painful interlude at KTM in 2019.
