On the racing side, preparations for the 2025 season of MotoGP However, the test is going as planned. This week, the Austrian factory's test team went to Jerez to carry out private tests.

Driving days, in which only test riders are allowed to participate, in accordance with what the sporting regulations provide during the winter break. However, a few regulars from the KTM fold made the trip to support Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró from the garage.

Pedro Acosta and Maverick Viñales have joined their compatriots. A torture for the latter, who left a video message on the brand's social networks. "I'm here in Jerez, with the test team. I want to ride, but I can't..." regrets Viñales, now a Tech3 pilot.

Acosta's expectations for 2025

During the Official Test in Barcelona, ​​the rookie of this 2024 season had only tested different types of fairings. As he confirmed after the driving session. These two days on the track therefore gave him an idea of ​​what the new parts sent to the south of Spain will be able to give him.

Asked about his expectations for the bike's improvements for 2025, the Iberian hoped that KTM could focus on two areas in particular.

“I want more power, a quieter bike, more grip. I want it all, jokes Pedro Acosta first after the weekend in Barcelona. If we improve on the traction side, and have a bike that's a little bit calmer, I'll be happy."

The 20-year-old rider will not have the opportunity to put his new machine to the test before February. He will be able to return to the track during the pre-season tests organized on the Sepang circuit (Malaysia), from February 5 to 7.
