The final fight for the world champion title MotoGP 2024 has arrived. This final round of the season is taking place in Barcelona. The Catalan track is being visited for the second time this year, replacing Valencia, which was hit by terrible, deadly floods at the end of October.
After Pecco Bagnaia's (Ducati) victory in Saturday's Sprint, the Italian will start the Grand Prix 19 points behind championship leader Jorge Martín (Pramac). To secure his first world title, the Spaniard will need to score at least seven points this Sunday.
In defence of his title, Bagnaia will start from pole position at the Gran Premio de la Solidaridad de Barcelona. On his right on the front row, he will have the Spaniards Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) and Marc Márquez (Gresini). Martín will be in the slipstream of his rival, starting from the fourth position on the grid. He will be accompanied on the second row by his teammate Franco Morbidelli (Pramac) as well as Pedro Acosta (Tech3).
On the French side, fabio quartararo (Yamaha) will start in tenth position. Johann Zarco (LCR) will accompany his compatriot on the fourth row (12th).
