Marquez's recovery continues favorably

The Repsol Honda team provided news this Wednesday morning regarding the state of health of Marc Marquez. We were waiting for this press release that the HRC had planned to release around the Christmas holidays.

And the latest updates are rather reassuring for the eight-time world champion. The recovery from his diplopia (double vision) contracted following a fall in training before the Algarve GP is progressing in the right direction. “The Repsol Honda team driver (…) continued his periodic visits to his trusted ophthalmologist in order to assess the evolution of his vision over the last two months,” the press release specifies. During these examinations, the progress made was considered favorable and, therefore, Marquez will continue to observe conservative treatment for the next few weeks. »

In parallel with this treatment, he will be followed by his ophthalmologist, Dr. Sánchez Dalmau. It is also mentioned that nothing prevents the Honda representative from training for the 2022 season. However, he is still too early to know if he will be present at the tests scheduled for February 5 and 6 at Sepang in Malaysia, and from February 11 to 13 in Mandalika, Indonesia.
