Francesco Bagnaia won his duel against Jorge Martín in Valencia, thus winning the world championship of MotoGP for the second time in a row. The Spaniard having fallen during the main race, the final gap between the two men is 39 points.
Behind, Marco Bezzecchi was already assured of third place in the standings before the final in Valencia, just as Brad Binder was assured of finishing the season in fourth position.
However, everything could still be at stake regarding fifth place. Behind on Saturday, Johann Zarco left his rivals no chance on Sunday by finishing second, after having fought for a while for victory. The Frenchman ends his campaign with Pramac with a score of 225 points.
Aleix Espargaro, diminished by a fibula injury during the three days of competition, finished sixth, and did not come far from being overtaken by the other Aprilia of Maverick Vinales.
Behind Luca Marini (8th) and Alex Márquez (9th), fabio quartararo completes the top 10.
Marc Marquez's final season with Honda will see the Spaniard finish in 14th position in the Drivers' standings, just ahead of Enea Bastianini whose season was marred by injuries.
