Indian GP confirmed on 2023 MotoGP calendar

A few days after announcing to begin discussions with the Indian authorities for the arrival of a Grand Prix MotoGP in India, on the Buddh International Circuit, Dorna confirms that the first edition will take place next year.

“We are very proud to announce that the Buddh International Circuit will be part of the 2023 calendar,” rejoices Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports. We have a lot of fans in India and are excited to be able to bring this sport to their lands. India is also a key market for the motorcycle industry and therefore, by extension, for MotoGP as the two-wheeled elite. We look forward to racing at Buddh International Circuit and look forward to welcoming fans so they can see this incredible sport with their own eyes. »

After Kazakhstan, MotoGP will therefore go to a second new circuit next year. The 2023 calendar should be released soon... it's only a matter of hours.
