From the start
In the MotoGP era, Acosta is the fifth rider to reach the podium in one of his first two appearances, after Marc Marquez, 3rd in his first race in 2013, like Jorge Martín during his second race in 2021, Jorge Lorenzo, 2nd in his first race in 2008, and Dani Pedrosa with a similar performance two years earlier.
Group shot
Thanks to Acosta's results, but also those of Brad Binder and Jack Miller, this is the first time that three RC16s have appeared in the top-5 of a MotoGP Grand Prix.

Martín rises through the ranks
By winning the main race this Sunday, Jorge Martín became the 5th most successful rider with Ducati in the premier category. With his 6 successes, he is only one length behind Loris Capirossi. A victory which also allows Ducati to achieve its eleventh consecutive success in MotoGP.
Enea Bastianini for her part catches up with Danilo Petrucci in another ranking. His tenth podium in MotoGP, at Portimao, brings him closer to the Italian in the table of riders who have signed the most with the Bologna manufacturer.
