The health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic is once again becoming complicated across the world and, despite all the efforts made, the Thai Grand Prix initially scheduled for October 15 to 17 was ultimately canceled for the second year in a row. The Chang International Circuit located in Buriram is now targeting a return to the 2022 season calendar.
We're sorry to announce that we will not be racing at the #ThaiGP 🇹🇭 this year
A tough decision but we cannot wait to see the Thai fans again in 2022 🙌

For the moment, the slot remains vacant, but a new appointment is under consideration. Logic would dictate that there would be a double in Malaysia after the GP of the Americas; a detour in Europe between Austin and Sepang could prove logistically difficult given the current restrictions around the world.
Some paddock noises also see a double at Misano to possibly replace the Argentine GP whose circuit, Termas de Rio Hondo, was hit by flames last February. As for the idea of a second French GP, nothing is excluded.
