We now know the program for the start of the 2023 season in MotoGP. If we have known since the beginning of August that the first round of the world championship will take place in Portugal, we now have confirmation of the dates for pre-season testing.
The 2023 version of MotoGP will take to the track for the first time from February 5 to 7, on the Sepang circuit in Malaysia, for the Shakedown. These days are reserved for rookies and test drivers to prepare the machines ahead of the starters. Quarterly, Zarco and company will then make an appointment from February 10 to 12 for the first three days of testing.
It all begins on the 5th of February with a shakedown in Sepang! 🇲🇾

The MotoGP field will then travel to the Portimão track a month later for a second round of testing, on March 11 and 12. Drivers and teams will be able to refine their cars on the same circuit which will host the start of the season two weeks later, from March 24 to 26, 2023.
Pre-season testing days are also planned for the Moto2 and Moto3 categories. They will take place from March 17 to 19, also in Portimão.
