The pilots MotoGP were on track this Sunday for the third and final day of running at Sepang. After two days full of lessons learned thanks in particular to changing track conditions, the players in the premier category returned to the track for a final session in Malaysia. Dry track and ideal conditions when the lights turned green at the end of Pit Lane. With almost 60 laps on track for most of the players, 61 for Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), this session proved to be much less hectic, but much more studious than the two previous ones.

It is now the norm, halfway through, it is still Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac Racing) who is leading the debates. The Ducati rider seemed to have recovered well from his fall yesterday, which however left him with some nice burns on his hands. Nothing to disturb the “Martinator” who can leave Sepang with plenty of confidence and lessons learned on his machine. Remember that Team Prima Pramac will benefit this season for its riders Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco from two Ducatis in 2023 configuration, identical to those of the factory team.

On the Aprilia side, Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, after testing several evolutions of the RS-GP, both chose the latest model designed by the manufacturer. We worked well this winter at Noale!

On the French side, no chasing the clock but a lot of in-depth work. fabio quartararo was observed with a new aero version, different from that operated by his teammate Franco Morbidelli. The team seems to have solved the engine problems, it remains to define the best aerobase. Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing) collected the new fairings tested yesterday by the factory team. We work in complete transparency at Ducati, and it pays off!

In the second part of the session, Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) set the pace by being the first driver to go under 1'58 and set the best time in 1'57″889.

If we had to remember only one thing from these 3 days of testing, it is certainly the insolent serenity that reigns in the Ducati clan. What could be more normal when you are certain of your strength.
