Having missed Sunday's race at Le Mans and the Barcelona weekend, Marc Márquez made his return at Mugello for the Italian Grand Prix. Still recovering from a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot sustained in his spectacular crash during the Sprint race at the French Grand Prix, the reigning world champion had to settle for seventh place this Sunday at the Italian Grand Prix.

« It was a positive race. Marc Márquez said on Canal +. From the start, I gave it my all. But with about 10 laps to go, I started having problems, and other riders were faster than me anyway, so I dropped back. But it was still a good weekend because I completed a lot of laps. Of course, I suffered during the race, which is normal, but we'll try to improve. It's a good starting point for my rehabilitation. "The Spaniard hopes to find a better feeling at the next event, at the Balaton Park Circuit.

« In Hungary, I will try to progress a little more. [The Mugello] It's arguably the worst circuit on the calendar to come back to, as it's the most physical. But we have a good starting point, we know where we stand, now we have to try and get closer to the best. »

Despite his still precarious condition, Marc Márquez gave his all on the track. Were there some good battles? Yes, I fought hard. I always give 100% when I know I have other drivers behind me. I tried to hold them off by any means necessary, but it was a very long race, so I ended up losing those battles. They were faster, and that's normal. But I'm very happy. »
