Since his arrival in MotoGP In 2013, Marc Márquez imposed his rule on American soil, and more specifically on the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin. With seven victories in eight participations between 2013 and 2021, the Spaniard has built an impressive record there, making this circuit his true playground.

The multiple world champion has won seven of the ten MotoGP races held in Austin since 2013 (2013-2018, 2021), a absolute recordHis only setback before 2022 was in 2019, when he crashed at Turn 12 while leading the race after eight laps. In 2021, after a period marked by injuries, he came back strongly to win once again.

In addition to his victories, he also dominated qualifying, taking pole position seven times, a feat that Francesco Bagnaia, his closest rival, is far from disputing with two poles in Texas.

Beyond Austin, Márquez has been virtually unstoppable on American soil. He has 11 wins in 14 MotoGP races held in the United States, including seven wins in Austin, three wins in Indianapolis, and one win at Laguna Seca in 7.

Records to be achieved by Marc Marquez

After missing the 2023 edition of the GP of the Americas due to injury, Márquez returned to Texas in 2024. He showed he still has the pace, taking second place in the Sprint and briefly leading the main race before crashing out. It was a frustrating result, but one that confirms he remains a serious contender whenever he sets foot on this circuit.

He is also undoubtedly the favorite for this 2025 edition, given that he remains undefeated this season, both in qualifying, in the Sprint and in the main race.

If Marc Márquez finishes on the podium in his next race, he will reach the number of 114 podiums in MotoGP, equaling Jorge Lorenzo as the second most successful rider in terms of podiums.
