Marc Marquez made an impressive start to the season at the 2025 Thailand Grand Prix, his first for the factory Ducati team in MotoGPThe Spanish driver, who was making his debut for the title favourites, had a perfect weekend, taking pole position, victory in the Sprint and triumph in the main race.

The performance sees Marquez equal his former Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa's 112 MotoGP podiums. More impressively, he becomes the first rider to win his first race with the factory Ducati team since Casey Stoner in 2007. That year Casey Stoner won the world title with 10 victories under his belt.

Marquez joins a prestigious list of riders who have won with the official Ducati team. Before him, eleven riders have won in Red. The Spaniard is therefore part of this club with Loris Capirossi (2003), Troy Bayliss (2006), Casey Stoner (2007), Andrea Iannone (2016), Andrea Dovizioso (2016), Jorge Lorenzo (2018), Danilo Petrucci (2019), Jack Miller (2021), Francesco Bagnaia (2021) and Enea Bastianini (2023).

Marquez's success was completed by an all-Ducati podium, with his brother Alex Marquez finishing second, while teammate Francesco Bagnaia completed the top three.

After this first act, the 2025 MotoGP season promises to be interesting. Pecco Bagnaia will have to raise his voice in particular to try to compete with his teammate. However, there are still 21 rounds to go, so the Italian has plenty of time to familiarize himself with the Borgo Panigale GP25.

As for Ducqti, this start to the season suggests a year full of success for the Italian manufacturer. The brand's dominance tends to continue.
