Mark withdrawal from the Algarve GP

The Honda Repsol team announced this afternoon that Marc Marquez has withdrawn from the Algarve GP scheduled for this weekend. The statement said he suffered a “mild concussion” after falling during an off-road training session.

As a precaution in the face of this type of trauma, the doctors advised him to skip the second meeting of the season in Portimão, a circuit on which he has not yet triumphed like the Red Bull ring.

Among the top three after three of the last four races (including two victories), Marc Marquez was in sixth place overall. Without this twist of fate, he could even claim the final podium in Valencia.
