Marquez leads the way in the rain in FP2

A wet track and rain greeted the drivers of the MotoGP late Saturday morning at the Motegi circuit. In these most precarious conditions, Marc Marquez was the fastest.

He is ahead of the two Ducatis of Jorge Martin and Jack Miller, leader on Friday, and the KTM of Miguel Oliveira. Johann Zarco sets the fifth time, but will have to go through Q1 on Saturday afternoon. Franco Morbidelli places the first Yamaha in sixth position ahead of Enea Bastianini, Alex Marquez and fabio quartararo which completes the Top 10 after shooting straight on a few occasions.

Heavy showers are forecast for Saturday afternoon, which will complicate the task of MotoGP riders in the time trial game.
