This year again, the pilots of MotoGP were not spared from falls. The end of the season therefore gives us a new opportunity to take stock of the drivers this year, to realize that some have not done things by halves.
In pole position, we find the rookie of this campaign, Pedro Acosta. At the halfway point of the season, the Spaniard was still behind Marc Marquez, with twelve falls. However, the last ten races have seen him explode his counter. The KTM rider thus ends his first year in MotoGP with a total of 28 losses of control.
The eight-time world champion is not far behind, however. Always looking for the limit on his Ducati, Marc Marquez has fallen 24 times in total this season. That is three more than his brother Alex, who is third in this ranking.
Behind them, other KTM riders completed the top five. Jack Miller and Brad Binder fell 5 and 20 times each.
As for the two contenders for the title, Pecco Bagnaia won his duel against Jorge Martin. The Spaniard's 15 errors, however, occurred much more often in Tests, when the Italian's nine often came in the race, when points are awarded.
Luca Marini completes the year as the regular rider with the fewest falls. The Honda rider has lost his RC213V only four times in 2024.
On the French side, Johann Zarco fell 15 times from his Honda, when fabio quartararo ended up on the ground 9 times with his Yamaha.
Last year, Marc Marquez finished the season with the most falls in his last campaign with Honda, with a score of 29.

I am amazed by the number of falls Marc Marquez has had (24) while Bagnaia has only had 9. He is not a rookie like Acosta!
