Marco Bezzecchi did not achieve a fourth consecutive victory at the start of the season, but the Aprilia rider retains the lead in the world championship ahead of his teammate Jorge Martín, who finished fourth in Sunday's Grand Prix at Jerez de la Frontera.
Eleven points separate the two riders from the official Aprilia team, while Fabio Di Giannantonio, third in the Grand Prix and in the championship standings, is now 30 points behind. Struggling more this weekend, Pedro Acosta slipped slightly but remains fourth, five points behind the VR46 Ducati. Despite his crash during the Grand Prix, Marc Márquez retains fifth place in the championship, thanks to his victory in Saturday's sprint race.
Winner this Sunday and now seventh in the standings, Álex Márquez is the last rider within two Grand Prix victories of the championship lead, trailing Bezzecchi by 48 points. The next chapter unfolds in two weeks at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans.
